Nadya Wasylko is a Ukrainian American photographer who currently calls Brooklyn home.
Nadya had a nomadic upbringing, moving between 10 different cities, and 9 different countries, and turned to photography at an early age as a way to document and examine her ever-changing surroundings. She earned her degree at the S.I. Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, and then worked full-time for several years in London and New York as a photographic assistant to several notable photographers.
Nadya loves and lives to make photographs and is constantly fascinated by the culture of the world. She finds much inspiration in experiences, memories, dreams, and nature. Completely enamored of color and light, she loves to explore the infinite ways one can enjoy experiences with the visible spectrum.
Nadya's work has been published by The New York Times Style Magazine, New York magazine, Dazed & Confused, Dazed Digital, The Ones2Watch, Soma, Gloss, Hint and PDN.
In addition to her fashion and portrait work, Nadya is also pursuing an on-going project documenting the changing visual landscape of Ukraine, and she also publishes frequently on her blog.
